Choctawhatchee High School Prepares for Incoming 2024/2025 Freshmen

Choctawhatchee High School  (CHS) 2024 seniors are excited about their May 23 graduation ceremony and juniors looking forward to their senior year. In the interim, preparations are underway to welcome brand-new 9th grade Choctawhatchee Indians.

There is a vast difference between middle school to high school. Incoming freshmen will face increased academic demands and more responsibility as they work towards completing their chosen coursework and graduation requirements. It can be overwhelming for new high school students. Preparing for the more stringent expectations will help towards securing their high school success.

To aid in easing that transition, current 8th graders and their parents are invited to attend CHS’ Registration Information Parent Night on Thursday, March 7 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the school’s auditorium. The event will provide valuable guidance to parents as they prepare their children for 9th grade, share information as to the school’s curriculum and programs, and the important step needed to register their young students for classes.

Located at 110 Racetrack Road NW in Fort Walton Beach, CHS’ mission is to “prepare all students to achieve excellence by providing the highest quality education while empowering each individual to positively impact their families, communities, and the world.”

Information about the school as well as graduation requirements, curriculum planning and catalog, along with registration instructions may be found online.
