Additionally, Past President Steve Boswell was also hard at work orchestrating the Fish Fry. Boswell has been spearheading the annual event for about 10 years and wanted to give credit to the resident “Boggy Boys.” Chris, Richard, and Billy Brunson are brothers who have donated their time and efforts to do all the frying for the event for the past several years. The Brunson’s had a late brother, DeWitt, who passed away a couple years ago and was also a long time contributor to the fish fry.
Boswell mentioned that the three surviving brothers help out with many charity fish frys around the area, in addition to their work with the All Sports Association’s annual event.
Boswell mentioned how his nearly 30 years in the ASA has seen some changes and evolving in the annual week of festivities.
