All Sports Associations’ (ASA) 55th Annual Awards Banquet was held February 23 at the Destin/Fort Walton Beach Convention Center featuring keynote speaker Warrick Dunn.

Since its inception in 1970, ASA has been instrumental in bringing together the finest athletes in Northwest Florida. The annual banquet recognizes the accomplishments of the absolute best in Northwest Florida’s high school, collegiate, amateur, professional, Special Olympic athletes, and those individuals who have fostered youth activities.

Bernard Johnson, 2018 Past Association President, emceed the event as ASA lauded the honored athletes for their dedication and hard work as they emulated the valued principles of clean sport, fair play, character, academic success, and American citizenship—both on and off the field.

Warrick Dunn, former Florida State University player and a running back with NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, presented ASA’s 55th annual awards to the following.

  • 2024 Special Olympics Athlete Award Winner: Shane Petty
  • 2024 Female Collegiate Award Winner: Liliana Fernandez
  • 2024 Female Scholastic Award Winner: Lauren Bage
  • 2024 Male Scholastic Award Winner: Titus Thornell
  • 2024 Amateur Award Winner: Blake Orr
  • 2024 Male Collegiate Award Winner: Azareye’h Thomas
  • 2024 Professional Award Winner: Juanyeh Thomas
  • 2023 Wuerffel Trophy Recipient: Ladd McConkey
  • 2024 Taylor Haugen Trophy Recipient: Garrison LeMire

During the night’s proceedings, a live auction was held which raised over $120,000 towards ASA’s mission to fund local youth-oriented non-profit organizations with an emphasis on sports programs. Primary beneficiaries of ASA’s endeavors are the Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast, Special Olympics Florida- Okaloosa, Eleanor J. Johnson Youth Center, and Okaloosa Walton FCA.
