FWB Police Seeking Information about Saturday Night Traffic Homicide Investigation

The Fort Walton Beach Police Department is seeking the public’s help regarding a deadly traffic homicide that took place Friday night.

According to a Fort Walton Beach Police Department news release, Justin Harcum of Niceville was killed Friday, April 20, when his grey, Honda motorcycle collided with an orange Hyundai sport utility vehicle driven by Brandon Wigfall of Fort Walton Beach at approximately 4:53 p.m. on April 20.

The incident occurred at the intersection of State Road 189 (Beal Parkway) and Hollywood Boulevard when the motorcycle collided with the Hyundai driven by Brandon Wigfall of Fort Walton Beach, as he was completing a turn from State Road 189 onto Hollywood Boulevard to travel east.

Despite lifesaving efforts attempted by civilians on scene as well as FWBPD/FWBFD/EMS, Justin Harcum was pronounced deceased by medical staff of the HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital.

Brandon Wigfall was transported to HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital where he was treated for injuries sustained during the crash and released.
