MidSouth Bank held a luau May 13 which proved successful in raising both monetary donations towards A Bed 4 Me Foundation’s mission to provide beds for children who would otherwise be sleeping on the floor or inadequate spaces.
Lynn Fehr, MidSouth Bank Branch Manager/Retail Loan Officer, said the luau was a success despite the poor weather, “We still raised over a $1,000 in donations to a Bed 4 Me.”
Luau attendees enjoyed a Hawaiian feast of pulled pork, rice, macaroni salad coleslaw, and snacks while delivering their donations as well as dropping off much-needed bedding items such as pillows, sheets, and comforters for children’s beds.
Diane Freeman, A Bed 4 Me Foundation Executive Director of A Bed 4 Me Foundation, said, “We appreciate MidSouth Bank supporting A Bed 4 Me and hosting this fun event. Despite the bad weather, they collected 30 bedding pieces and close to $1,000.00. Donations are always welcomed and needed to keep our mission moving. But an added bonus in businesses hosting drives for us is the opportunity to share our program with others who may not know about our service. You never know who may have the need. If there are other local businesses who are interested, we would love to hear from them. Thank you, MidSouth Bank!”
