50th Annual Billy Bowlegs 5K Race

Northwest Florida Track Club is hosting its iconic 50th Annual Billy Bowlegs r USAFT Certified 5K race to kick off the summer running season. The event will be held June 1 with a 7:30 a.m. start to celebrate 50 years of this marquee event. The event includes a festive post-race of live music, food, and drinks, so hang around and enjoy the festivities. Packets may be picked up at Run With It on Friday, May 31 from 4-6 pm. and on race morning at Fort Walton Beach High School (400 Hollywood Boulevard SW) from 6-7:15 a.m. The Kids’ Runs will start shortly after the 5K ends.

There are tentative plans for a new component this year—the Billy Bowlegs Pirate Chase on Monday, May 20 just prior to the Billy Bowlegs Torchlight parade. This will be a one-mile dash on the parade route. More information will be forthcoming. Check Northwest Florida Track Club for more information about that event.

Parking is available for both start/finish at Fort Walton Beach High School or post-race at Liza Jackson Park West Pavilion.
