Finally Free (240107) – His Presence

There should be a shifting of your mindset when you consider that the God of the heavens and the earth have taken up time to sup with you as the Bible says!! Transformation of the mind Romans 12:2…

1. How are things different when you are in His presence?

• Does your conversation change when you are in His presence?
• The way we treat one another change in His presence?
• Do you straighten up and fly right so to speak in His presence?
• God wants the best from us all the time because Hispresence is always with us!!  The earth is the Lords and the fulness there of!!
• You know this is true, let me show you here in Romans when God talks about His everlasting Love: His presence and Love are one!!!

Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)

³⁸ For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,

³⁹ Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

• You can substitute the word lovewith His presence and you still get the same power!!

³⁹ Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the Presence of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2. Do you prepare your heart or do you come to God any way you feel like it?

• God has instructed us how to enter in:

Psalm 100:4-5 (KJV)

⁴ Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name.

 ⁵ For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

• God’s power and His presence is like no other.  We know  that He is all Loving and all Powerful.  Even the demons flee in His presence.
• The problem often happens when we are not aware or reverencing His Holy Presence!!

3. Would you say every time you are considering our God to be like everyone else’s god or other little “g” gods? 

 

• God has instructed us to never put any other gods before Him which implies that people have made other things a god.
• When we consider the one and only Big “G” God, He is holy and He wants us to be Holy in His Presence!!

1 Peter 1:15-17 (NLT)

¹⁵ But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.

¹⁶ For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”

¹⁷ And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So, you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as “temporary residents.”

¹⁵ But as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct;

¹⁶ Since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

¹⁷ And if you invoke (Pray) as Father him who judges each one impartially according to his deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile.

Refugee: a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster. Romans 12:2

Outcast: a person who has been rejected by society or a social group.

2 Corinthians 6:16-18 Revised Standard Version (RSV)

¹⁶ What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said,

“I will live in them and move among them,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.

¹⁷ Therefore come out from them,
and be separate from them, says the Lord,
and touch nothing unclean;
then I will welcome you,

¹⁸ and I will be a father to you,
and you shall be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.”

• God has instructed us on multiple occasions on how we are to live and how to set things up before we are coming before Him in His Presence and how we are offering ourselves to Him:

Exodus 25:8

“Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them.

Exodus 25:8 NIV

¹The Lord said to Moses, ² “Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give.

³ These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze;

⁴ blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair;

⁵ ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather; acacia wood;

⁶ olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;

⁷ and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breast piece.

⁸ “Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.

⁹ Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.

• Who will show us? If we are not in a mindset that we are listening to the voice of God, we’ll be led astray by the presence of something that is not of God!!

Exodus 25 MSG

^1-9 God spoke to Moses: “Tell the Israelites that they are to set aside offerings for me. (God wants what’s His period) Receive the offerings from everyone who is willing to give.

• Remember He is no respecterof person, so everyone has an opportunity to be in His presence and bring what belongs to Him, once they surrender to His will!

PICK BACK UP: These are the offerings I want you to receive from them: gold, silver, bronze; blue, purple, and scarlet material; fine linen; goats’ hair; tanned rams’ skins; dolphin skins; acacia wood; lamp oil; spices for anointing oils and for fragrant incense; onyx stones and other stones for setting in the Ephod and the Breast piece. Let them construct a Sanctuary for me so that I can live among them. You are to construct it following the plans I’ve given you, the design for The Dwelling and the design for all its furnishings.

As I close this morning, He said “construct a Sanctuary for me so that I can live among them.” 

He wants us to be prepared to be in His Presence!!

Take extra note of these few things too:

1. God has a divine plan for all of us in His Presence.
2. Remember never to take His presence lightly.
3. Whenever you have gotten to a place when you feel alone, you know that is not the best that God has for you!!
4. God gave us Jesus to carry Him in our hearts forever and accepting Him as Lord for all eternity.
5. We are to always reverence His sacrifice and chose to live a life of Holiness in His Presence as He is Holy!!
