Finally Free (240414) - All you had to is ask Pastor Willie Collins

Hello, everyone I hope life is treating you well. Have you ever wondered whenever you are dealing with the cares of life, if God is listening?

How does that make you feel? Okay with that being said, what is it that you could possibly you can do better to make a difference you choices in your life?

I know that I too get challenged in my Spirit, but I don’t give up because I believe in the God that is inside of me.  Not only me but inside of my family.  I consider all of you my family those who have and will accept Jesus into your heart.  That keeps me going, that keeps me getting up early, praying to the Father for His wisdom.  I have asked many times for help.

I know a few of you are burnt out but if your boss on your Job asked you to come in early, stay late, bring others to work with you, what makes that any different that where we are today?

In my heart I know that “Living Faith Fellowship Church” is a God ordained ministry, for  11 years where others have not stuck with the process. Now in addition with, “Finally Free Radio Broadcast,” When I think about the lives of the people God has allowed me to Pastor over the years and to impact lives all over the world, I’m overjoyed!!

So that leads me to my next question before we get started today, what is it about the Kingdom of God that has caused you to stay as long as you have? I tell you, now that as I have transitioned back to Florida and you are listing to me, I believe we need one another more now than we ever have!! I know, life brings challenges and because of that I know this is God’s ministry and my desire is for everyone to believe in the God given ministry He has placed in your Spirit, for you to give it 100% to succeed even when mess shows up because it will, just live a little bit!

So, with all of that, will you allow God to give your mind the paradigm shift we need to really prosper in earthly ministry?

God is a God that can change our lives in a blink of eye. The Bible tell us that we can do all things through Christ that strengthens me! How many people believe that God was talking about you when that word was created?  Okay if that is the case, why are we still not seeing the full manifestation of the Glory of God in the earth?

Often times, those who know me have heard me say, “you have to see it before you see it.”

We know that God says that He will give us the desires of our heart’s, but many times have we are to fearful to ask although God has let us know in His word and we even quote it when life comes upon us:

2 Timothy 1:7

He has not given us the Spirit of fear but what, Love, power and a sound mind.

Today I want to show that there’s nothing new under the sun.  Although you may feel like the things that are happening to you are unique, but unfortunately, they are not. The way each one of us responds to our situations, will ultimately show us who we really are.

God has given each of us a glance of the possibility’s of how things could be, but maybe the hardness of your heart, hurt, pain, you’ve gotten to ingrained into our own life, where you’ve not taken heed to the warning signs, but the way life happens, each person will have to deal with the consequences sooner or later!!!!

Nobody is exempt from life’s temptations…

2 Samuel 12:1-14 (NIV)

Nathan Rebukes David

1The Lord sent Nathan to David. When he came to him, he said, “There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor.

2 The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle,

3 But the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb he had bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food, drank from his cup and even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him.

4 “Now a traveler came to the rich man, but the rich man refrained from taking one of his own sheep or cattle to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the ewe lamb that belonged to the poor man and prepared it for the one who had come to him.”

5 David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan, “As surely as the Lord lives, the man who did this must die!

6 He must pay for that lamb four times over, because he did such a thing and had no pity.”

7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.

8 I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more.

9 Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.

10 Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.’

11 “This is what the Lord says: ‘Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight.

12 You did it in secret, but I will do this thing in broad daylight before all Israel.’”

13 Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.”

Nathan replied, “The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die.

14 But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt (Dislike, disapproval and disrespect) for the Lord, the son born to you will die.”

The Key verse today is:

2 Samuel 12:8 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

8 I gave your master’s house to you and your master’s wives into your arms, and I gave you the house of Israel and Judah, and if that was not enough, I would have given you even more.

Before I pray today, I want you to think about this, how many things has God promised you and you took something or chose a route that God never intend for you and you have reaped the Consequences is there the blessing…

Subject: All you had to is Ask!!!!

Pray:  Father you are an intentional God who loves us despite us.  You said that you would not with hold any good thing to those that love the Lord.  Lord God we are so blessed for the honor and the privilege to call you Abba Father!!  May your Spirit flow today, and every day as you touch the hearts of your people as an example of your love for you are the God of more than enough.  Thank you, Heavenly Father, for your unconditional Love.  A love that surpasses all understanding.  We continue to Bless you Father and to strive to be in your presence forever more in Jesus name amen.

Let me only take a few minutes of your time today to bring to your attention of a man that the Bible recorded “A man after God’s own heart.”  Acts 13:22

1.   God will get your attention. You might think because he has placed you in a certain position, you can just do whatever you so desire because God appointed you like he did David… Wake up because God will get your attention!

2.   David had all types of mistakes before, during and after he was the King. Have you made some mistakes?

3.   God used the Prophet Nathan to help King David.

4.   The Subject talks about it “All you had to do is ask.”

5.   All too many times as you’ve heard people say, don’t be afraid to ask!!

6.   But there were somethings that had to be dealt with.

7.   David was beside himself when the Prophet had explained the story and we too must be careful when God uses us to confront sin, that we stay focused and not get high minded.

When we are pointing that one finger at people, how many fingers are pointing back at us? “4”

When God gives each of us the chance to confront someone maybe with that unpleasant news, be sure to pray for courage, wisdom, knowledge and understanding along with skill and tact like God gave Nathan when he confronted David.

But the main point is, image if David had only asked, God would have blessed him beyond measure. He had it all, like Nathan told him in verse 8 “if that was not enough, I would have given you even more.”

8.   Once a person somewhat comes to themselves and realize they have become numb to sin such as condonation (forgiving those for who had done wrong or committed sin, even sin in our own lives) but one must make the shift in their mind, that God never intended for them to sit around and stay in their sin.  YEA, I KNOW, PEOPLE DON’T TALK ABOUT SIN ANYMORE!!!

9.   God has plans for all of us but each of us has to be willing to ask and allow God to be God in our lives as He so purposed it.  I started out by asking the hard questions but also making my request known both to God and you!!

10.                Depending on who you ask, things will get done!! Turn to:

Matthew 7:7-12 New International Version (NIV)

Ask, Seek, Knock

7 “Ask and it will be given to you; The word ask means to request, Inquire, and question….

seek and you will find; Pursue, hunt for!!

Knock, Hit, blow, bash!!

and the door will be opened to you.

8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?

11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Back to verse 7:

7 “Ask and it will be given to you; The word ask means to request, Inquire, and question….

seek and you will find; Pursue, hunt for!!

Knock, Hit, blow, bash!!

and the door will be opened to you.

When we are asking God for things, why not ask God for help not just for ourselves but also for others.  Even in our sin, ask God to help you and others.  The great thing about King David, he confessed and repented of his own sins.

What does repentance mean:

·      Repentance is the activity of reviewing one’s actions and feeling contrition or regret for past wrongs, which is accompanied by commitment to change for the better.

1.   The action of repenting; sincere regret or remorse.

2.   “each person who turns to God in genuine repentance and faith will be saved”

3.   remorse, contrition, contriteness, penitence, sorrow,

4.   sorrowfulness, regret, ruefulness,

5.   remorsefulness, pangs of conscience, prickings of conscience, shame, guilt,

6.   self-reproach, self-condemnation, compunction;

7.   conversion;

Just like David, our sins affect others.  In David’s case it was his child that died, That child was born in the sin of lust and passion and it died, but also all type of problems came in that house because King David did not simply ask God!!

What have you done in your life that has cause your family, coworker, employer or even your community to suffer?

Our actions rather it be good or bad, it will come down our street and hit us up, but Repent and ask God!!

David’s sin was on multiple levels!!  As I said; His son died, his family turned against him and so much more, why because he did not understand what he had, and God had to help him understand what he had but all he had to do is ask, God was ready to grant him with his desires as with all of us.

Ask with a repented heart!!!

Psalm 37:3-9 New International Version (NIV)

3 Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.

7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.
9 For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

So, I will close with this today, God is waiting on all of us, to just ask!!  Why are people not asking for God’s best?

The word of God speaks louder than I ever could!!

Every day, my heart’s desire is to show you in His Holy word of the things that I speak. Stop being afraid because of what you have done in your past, let not your heart be troubled!!

Just simply ask.

Our Father in not like us, although we’re created in His image and likeliness.

He always wants Jesus to be Lord and the head of our lives!

He told us in

Isaiah 55:7-9 New International Version (NIV)

7 Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

I tell you the truth that God’s thoughts are not small like some people in the Body of Christ have been thinking.  He wants to do some things far beyond what we have thought and today. I have said allot today but I wanted you to really hear my heart!!

I want end with this and give each of you the opportunity to apply something I believe that would be key to your success in the future as well as mine!!

A study was done by Mary Morrissey, who wrote an article called: The Power of Writing Down Your Goals and Dreams

The outcome of this study showed 42% more likely to achieve your goals and dreams, simply by writing them down on a regular basis.

If have a notebook, I want you write down some things to give you the chance to put this word into action.

Our Subject was “All you had to do is ask”

So, I want to leave you with this questions…..

If money was not an obstacle, what would you ask God for??
